Leading rigid box manufacturer Pollard Boxes produced the packaging for the stylish Advent Calendar of 24 luxury cosmetics products, created by specialist online beauty sampler Latestinbeauty.com.
As well as the design and manufacture of the bespoke hinged box, Pollard also provided a complete fulfilment service with packing of the individual products into the boxes and onward delivery to the consumer.
The Advent Calendar allows customers to sample 24 different beauty brands in smaller or trial size packs. To create the finished design, Pollard worked with its vacuum form supplier to produce the various inserts which had to be of different sizes and depths to match the various bottles, tubes and sachets in the collection.
Once the forms were prepared, the box was designed to incorporate the doors that make up the advent calendar. The hybrid hinged carton is manufactured in 610 micron Celebrate Image folding box board in an attractive gold with white detail, finished with gloss film lamination. The overall effect helps to reflect and convey the premium nature of the products contained in the box. Each ‘door’ in the design also features printing on the inside to describe the product or carry a message from the brand owner. The belly band incorporates gold foil lamination for the branding to further enhance the opening experience for the customer. The pack combines attractiveness with a robust construction to enable it to withstand the rigours of the distribution and delivery process.
