Last year’s Drinktec in Munich was a great success for debutant exhibitor Makro Labelling.
The company had only just been created when the last show took place in 2009, so was unable to exhibit. Last year was different and sales of Makro labelling machines now number almost 300. The company decided to have a large presence at the show.
Max Manzotti, Sales Director of Makro said, “Drinktec gave us the opportunity to show visitors some of our patented ideas that have proven to be so successful to our growing client list. I have been particularly pleased over the past four years at the number of global blue chip brands in our main sectors that have entrusted Makro to label their brand-leading products.
Some of the orders, like the major Champagne houses and global spirit brands, have required very intricate and precise labelling techniques, for which our patented optical orientation ‘Follower’ system has proved to be successful both in terms of technical capability and financial affordability. We have been very proud of these orders and for me, as I spend much of my time travelling around the world, it always gives me a good feeling when I see Makro’s clients’ products in the top hotels and restaurants.” Max continued, “Drinktec also gave us the opportunity to get all of our subsidiary companies and agents together, many of whom had brought their customers to the show, which has resulted in some great business for us.”
