Innovia Films’ cellulose NatureFlex™ compostable films are reinforcing Caturra Coffee’s commitment to high quality standards and its sustainability philosophy. Caturra, a South African coffee roasting specialist, sought advice about making their packaging match their ethics. Working in collaboration with Colpak, a local converter, new coffee packs were developed. These use NatureFlex™ compostable films in their construction, which has three-layers: a printable, transparent barrier layer with NatureFlex™ NK 20µm film on the outer layer, a metallised high barrier layer NatureFlex™ NKME 20µm in middle layer and a 50µm Bio-Polymer sealant layer which provides high seal strength and integrity.
