Redpack Packaging Machinery has supplied an HTS flow-wrapping machine to a client near Dundee for packing collations of herbs. Loose or bunched-basil, parsley, coriander, sage, tarragon, dill, mint, etc are operator-fed to marked product positions on a dished infeed conveyor belt. The machine pauses while the infeed positions are being filled and then automatically feeds the loaded herbs into the wrapping module. When required by production, the wrapping sequence can be switched to continuous wrapping with machine speed range of between 20-100ppm. For flat pack presentation the product outfeed is fitted with a rotary air excluder that is synchronised to product flow. The HTS has easy to use operator control, is manufactured from food grade Stainless Steel, and has been configured as a left hand machine.
