Italian manufacturer PFM Packaging Machinery has introduced its first range of four-side-seal vertical sachet machines, able to handle a wide range of liquids, powders and small items for the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and household chemicals industries. Offering medium speeds, up to 400 sachets a minute, and capacities of 5-250ml, the BG Pack MP240 and MP340 machines each employ four servo motor drives to eliminate chains and gears and are built in an open, cantilever style to allow easy cleaning. Control is via a Siemens PLC as standard, with a touchscreen operator panel for all functions, while a tubular stainless steel frame combines high rigidity with low weight.
