When pharmaceutical and food products company, Bimeda UK, began experiencing difficulties with coding small cartons on its production line, the decision was made to attach a high performance iCON laser coder to an existing 4ACC carton machine from specialist Allen Coding Systems. It is fitted with the compact iCON laser coder and provides a maximum print area of up to 38mm by 25mm. The cartons are passed rapidly across the tabletop surface using an effective pusher plate system, which positions it under the coder where it is printed with batch details and best before dates.
