ORGANISERS of Multimodal 2026, the freight, transport and logistics exhibition, have declared the recent edition of the show at NEC Birmingham as its most successful to date, with provisional figures showing a 7.5% increase in visitor attendance.
More than 300 exhibitors participated in the three-day event and over 120 speakers took to five conference theatres to deliver presentations on everything from AI adoption and net zero strategies to customs compliance and supply chain resilience.
The event also saw the industry come together to celebrate its brightest stars at the Multimodal Awards, while day three shone a spotlight on the next generation of logistics talent, with students touring the exhibition as part of a new skills initiative.
Robert Jervis, Multimodal show director, said, “Multimodal 2026 has been an outstanding show. The energy on the floor, the calibre of conversation in our theatres, and a 7.5% rise in visitors all point to an industry that continues to see huge value in coming together in person. From getting a train into the NEC, to accommodating the England World Cup match, the organising team, as ever, did a tremendous job.”
Sales for Multimodal 2027 are said to be ‘running ahead of schedule’, with next year’s show scheduled to take place from 29 June to 1 July 2027 at NEC Birmingham.
