A B Graphic International (ABG) has launched ThermoLam, a thermal laminator designed to deliver ‘faster production, greater agility and improved sustainability’ for flexible packaging manufacturers.
ABG explained that ThermoLam operates with zero VOC (volatile organic compounds) emissions, providing a cleaner alternative to traditional lamination technologies. The system is described as food-safe and compliant with industry regulations.
ThermoLam combines pre-heating, cooling, corona treatment and slitting within a single, compact platform. With maximum mechanical speeds of up to 120 metres per minute and no curing time required, the system aims to enable faster production cycles, reduced waste and quicker time to market.
Servo control technology from Beckhoff aids precision and consistency, while inline cutting streamlines workflow and reduces handling. The modular design allows integration with ABG’s broader FlexPack range, including Galaxy pouch-making systems and PouchJet digital embellishment technology.
Matt Burton, global sales director at ABG, said, “ThermoLam represents a significant step forward in how converters approach lamination within flexible packaging. By combining performance, sustainability and ease of use in a compact, modular system, we are enabling customers to move faster, reduce waste and adapt to changing market demands. As part of our wider FlexPack strategy, ThermoLam plays a key role in delivering a fully connected production workflow.”
ABG will present ThermoLam at interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf (7-13 May).
