VALPAK by Reconomy has marked an expansion across its data services offering with the promotion of Phillip Crum to the role of director of data insights.
Crum has already spent 11 years at Valpak, most recently shaping the organisation’s Supplier Data Hub and Insight Platform. His new role complements the launch of Valpak’s Global Data Insights, which is designed to help brands and retailers to manage packaging obligations, recyclability, and EPR costs.
He said, “As new packaging regulations come into force around the world, brands and retailers need to be confident that they are meeting their obligations in every market – they need instant visibility and tools to pinpoint data gaps and highlight opportunities for improvement. My role is to provide that assurance, making sure that Valpak’s platforms, processes and people deliver trusted data and scalable systems in an increasingly complex data landscape.”
Crum will lead a department of 250 data professionals, overseeing regulatory and commercial data for over 60 million packaging products worldwide.
