STORA Enso has launched Performa Lumi, a GC1 folding boxboard (FBB) solution for beauty, personal care, and healthcare packaging.
Produced on the firm’s new BM6 packaging line in Oulu, Finland, Performa Lumi expands the Performa range alongside Performa Nova. It is a CTMP board coated on both sides with a light-coated reverse, said to deliver ‘high whiteness, excellent printability, and a smooth surface that supports strong brand expression’.
The solution is produced using FiberLight Tec, Stora Enso’s proprietary technology that enables the creation of ‘strong yet lightweight’ board structures.
“Performa Lumi is designed for brands that want premium appearance without unnecessary complexity,” said Kati Ekman, head of product line FBB. “For brand owners, that means one board solution that can cover multiple end-uses, from beauty to personal care and beyond with reliable results.”
Stora Enso explained that Performa Lumi has been designed to withstand external stresses in printing and conversion. The board is suitable for direct food contact and is available in grammages from 205 to 310 gsm.
