Colpac hails ‘remarkable’ progress on net zero ambitions

Colpac ESG report

FOOD packaging specialist Colpac has highlighted its ‘remarkable’ net zero progress following the release of the firm’s Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) report for 2025.

This year’s report is an addendum to Colpac’s 2024 ESG report and demonstrates the scale of the company’s achievements. This includes a 22% reduction in carbon emissions in year three of its net zero programme, as well as the ‘vast’ impact in advocating for the paperboard food packaging industry this year.

With Colpac’s technical and sustainability leaders actively involved in industry-wide initiatives, such as the BRCGS technical working group and the Alliance for Fibre-Based Packaging, the team revealed how it champions the progression of quality and sustainability across the industry.

Also highlighted are achievements across health and safety audits, purchasing strategy and supplier due diligence improvements, community engagement, and award wins for product innovation and team members.

Talia Goldman, ESG director at Sabert & Colpac, said, “2025 has been a fascinating year for ESG in the packaging industry. With Packaging Extended Producer Responsibility (pEPR) affecting the entire value chain, our focus on government engagement has felt more important than ever. Now as part of the Sabert group, we look to do even more to drive the food packaging industry forward and continue to use business as a force for good.”
