Datec Packaging has been tipped to make a strong impression at the inaugural UKPackaging Expo in Manchester with the firm’s eComPack® innovation.
Designed for the fast-evolving demands of online retail, eComPack® aims to address issues in the order packing process: speed, sustainability, and user experience. The product’s all-paper retention system eliminates the need for void fill packaging and simplifies the recycling process.
“We’ve not long launched our new patent-pending eComPack® product,” said Glenn Izard of Datec Packaging. “Exhibiting at the UKPackaging Expo is a fantastic opportunity to gain visibility in the Manchester area and connect with businesses that could benefit from this unique solution.
“Our product is fully recyclable, uses high levels of recycled material, and is biodegradable. It also helps brands lower their EPR charges and reduces the environmental impact of their fulfilment operations. It’s scalable, efficient, and enhances the unboxing experience – all crucial factors in today’s competitive e-commerce landscape.”
At the show, Datec Packaging will be focused on lead generation and brand awareness. The team will conduct live product demonstrations and facilitate giveaways designed to engage and educate.
“We want attendees to experience the practical benefits of eComPack® first-hand,” Izard added. “Seeing the speed of packing, the simplicity of the design, and the improved presentation really brings the innovation to life.”
Looking ahead, Izard sees broader changes shaping the industry, particularly in the realms of automation, digital manufacturing, and customisation. “E-commerce packaging is being reshaped by sustainability, technology integration, and customer experience. Brands are starting to use AI to optimise packaging size and performance, and digital printing is opening up new opportunities for seasonal and personalised messaging that resonates emotionally with consumers.”
