That’s the spirit! Renfrew firm marks key milestones

Spirit Labels team

RENFREW-based Spirit Labels recently hosted a party to celebrate a number of successes and milestones in the first half of 2025.

Employees, customers and suppliers enjoyed an evening of champagne, canapes, live music and cake at The Haberdashery on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street, as an expression of thanks for their support and hard work.

The celebration coincided with the launch of Spirit Labels’ new website on June 27. The refreshed site aims to act as the next stepping stone in the company’s mission to become the ‘trusted label partner of choice’ for the Scotch whisky and spirits Industry.

However, this wasn’t the only milestone worth celebrating. Earlier in the month, Spirit Labels’ Ines Hiu Wai Law was crowned Overall Apprentice of the Year at the Scottish Print Apprentice of the Year Awards. The accolade was in recognition of her hard work, focus and attentiveness during her time spent at the company under the mentorship of Laura Fitzpatrick Roy.

Additionally, Spirit Labels has received nominations for two categories within the Digital Label and Packaging Awards 2025. The business has been shortlisted in the Excellence in Design and Variable Data categories.

Candle with Spirit Labels branding on it

Spirit Labels has also expanded its team and production capacity, having made two new hires already this year and invested in technologies designed to improve production finishing capabilities.

MD Tom Lightbody said, “I couldn’t be prouder of what the team at Spirit Labels has accomplished so far this year. From the recognition of Ines at the Print Apprentice Awards to the launch of our new website and ongoing investment in people and technology — it’s been a milestone moment after milestone moment.

“Friday’s celebration was a chance to reflect and thank those who’ve supported us. This is just the beginning, and I’m looking forward to what’s next.”
