EP Group has launched a new free-to-use EPR calculator, designed to help retailers, foodservice providers and packaging specifiers estimate packaging fees under the new Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations.
The tool allows users to compare two packaging materials side-by-side, estimate annual fees, and assess how switching materials could impact sustainability and profitability.
Key features include the ability to evaluate different packaging types to identify more sustainable alternatives and factor in EPR fees to see the real impact on margins and profitability.
The calculator also outlines how Recyclability Assessment Methodology (RAM) banding will shape fee multipliers from 2026 to 2028 and beyond, which could benefit brands looking to future-proof packaging decisions.
