TOSCA, a specialist in reusable and recyclable plastic packaging and pooling solutions, has been awarded a second consecutive Gold Medal by EcoVadis, a global authority in sustainability assessments and ratings.

The move places the firm in the top 5% of organisations assessed in the past 12 months.

The Gold rating recognises Tosca’s performance in four key areas: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

“Winning the EcoVadis Gold Medal for the second year running is a strong validation of the consistency and maturity of our sustainability strategy,” said Karin Witton, global director of sustainability, Tosca. “I couldn’t be more delighted with this recognition of what we have achieved through the sustained dedication and hard work of our team. Our long-term approach is delivering continuous improvement and our commitment to creating a more sustainable future for all is stronger than ever.”

Over the past year, Tosca revealed it has taken action in various areas to strengthen its sustainability performance. This includes a stronger focus on sustainable procurement, the environment and diversity and inclusion, as well as the introduction of a new data management and reporting system to improve data collation and facilitate the identification of trends.

“Our sustainability journey is driven through our 2030 Sustainability Strategy, which provides the direction and helps us build improvements year on year, and we are excited to see the benefits to our customers, our communities, our company and its team members as we implement those changes,” added Laurent Le Mercier, EMEA president, Tosca.
