Tyson Fury’s Furocity and Radnor Splash recognised for can designs

TYSON Fury’s energy drink, Furocity, and Radnor Splash have been selected for the prestigious Can Makers Design Accolade in the final round of the 2024 awards.

Love Lane also received a special mention for its cohesive design across various products, showcasing ‘exemplary use’ of guidelines, colour selection, and a strong, consistent brand identity.

The Can Makers’ judging panel assessed a variety of new market entrants, praising their ‘innovation, sophisticated design, and the effective use of the can as a key element in marketing strategies’.

Tim Conybeare, Can Makers chairman, said, “Each of the chosen designs illustrated the crucial role innovative packaging design plays in strengthening a brand’s impact in the canned beverage sector.  Both designs have set new standards, redefining how brands can use the aluminium can to establish a premium, standout presence.

“Furocity impressed the panel with its premium design, bold contrasting colours, and striking graphics. The judges also praised the successful rebranding of the range, noting a strong brand identity maintained across each flavour, despite their unique and creative designs.

“Radnor Splash was praised for its strong brand presence, premium finish, and the use of sophisticated imagery. Its design combines intricate detail and visual impact, ensuring standout appeal on the shelf and establishing a distinctive, memorable brand identity.”

Launched in 2022, the Design Accolades celebrate exceptional design and creativity in the canned beverage industry, focusing on standout shelf presence and effective brand positioning. The awards are presented twice a year, with the next judging panel set to convene in the new year.
