FLEXOGRAPHIC carton and label presses manufacturer Edale, a Canon company, has appointed Gary Roberts as head of sales, EMEA.

The move is said to reinforce the firm’s commitment to provide greater engagement with customers on a global basis and is set to drive Edale’s growth in the European, Middle East, and Africa markets.

Gary has worked in the packaging industry for almost three decades. He previously held a leadership role at W H Leary Company, a supplier of adhesive application solutions in the folding carton industry.

James Boughton, MD of Edale, said, “We are delighted to welcome Gary to the Edale team as we strategically refocus our regional sales operations to drive further growth across EMEA. We are already seeing the positive impact Gary is bringing, supported by his comprehensive background in the industry and extensive experience across all aspects of B2B machine manufacturing. His deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics will be invaluable as we continue to expand our presence in the region.”

Gary is the third recent appointment as Edale has moved to bolster its sales presence, following Ryan Barrett becoming head of sales for the APAC region, and Dave Boyle being named service sales manager.

Gary Roberts added, “I’m excited to be joining Edale and to work alongside such a talented team. We are all aware that carton and label converters are under intense pressure to deliver, so I look forward to meeting our customers and partners to explore how Edale’s unique technologies can support their business goals.

“Both the Edale FL3 label press and FL5 carton production line offer cost-effective solutions by helping to reduce job-time and waste, amongst other benefits. We expect to see great interest across the EMEA market as businesses look for more effective and sustainable solutions to the challenges they face.”
