CEPAC has recently taken delivery of a 1420 Packline SA at its facility in Doncaster.

The machine, which is designed and manufactured by Lamina System AB in Sweden, is used to glue collated corrugated flat packs that may have previously been taped.

The Packline is a smart machine meaning it is easy to set-up and can run different sizes and thicknesses of corrugated cardboard – and glue bead lengths are set automatically. Due to the packs being hot melt glued, they are stronger and more rigid than boxes sealed with tape, Cepac explained.

Stuart Gilder divisional director at Cepac, said, “This latest investment is in line with plans for further expansion at our Doncaster POS/Display facility. The addition of this machine will help us further increase output in this important area of our business, once again giving our customers best in class packaging solutions.

“Installation of the new line was smooth and the training from the Lamina technicians meant the new line was in and running at full production levels within a matter of days.”
