Berry to showcase its sustainability offering at Scanpack

BERRY Global is to showcase its ability to deliver tailored solutions across a ‘huge range’ of end markets to help companies deliver on their sustainability commitments and goals at this year’s Scanpack exhibition in Gothenburg.

The products on display demonstrate the options available in the achieving of circularity – including packs that can be reused and easily recycled, that allow the incorporation of recycled plastic and renewable materials in the production mix, and which are lightweighted and offer improved recyclability.

In addition, Jamie Riley, Berry Global CPI’s sustainability lead, will give two presentations on all three days of the exhibition on the latest developments in recycled plastic and the key requirements and implications of the forthcoming EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).

Philip Ekman, Berry sales director, said, “We know that sustainability is the major driving force for companies in all their packaging developments but, at the same time, considerations such as functionality, consumer convenience, and aesthetics and branding also remain essential requirements.

“Scanpack provides an excellent opportunity to focus on the many ways we can support our customers in the creation of packaging solutions across a diverse range of markets, including food and beverage, foodservice, beauty and wellness, and specialities, all of which deliver on every level as the world continues to transition to a circular economy.”

Highlights on the stand include Berry’s new range of reusable cups, which have been shortlisted for a Packnorth 2024 award; food and non-food containers with recycled plastic and enhanced recyclability; an innovative new lightweight food closure; a customisable high-impact standard bottle for personal care, homecare and healthcare products; and Berry’s high-quality CleanStream recycled plastic for contact sensitive applications.
