ORGANISERS of London Packaging Week have announced that Pentawards, the platform and community for packaging design, will host six seminar sessions at the event as well as the new Pentawards Gallery.
On the first day of the exhibition, which takes place on 21 and 22 September at London Olympia, Pentawards will deliver sessions across three stages.
On the Food & FMCG Future Makers Stage, Becky Stones, creative director at Good by Design, will deliver a session on closing the loop on packaging waste. The Luxury Unboxed Stage, meanwhile, will see Craig Barnes, creative director at Elmwood, sharing his insights on building luxury brands that people care about with a session titled ‘The Architect, The Artist, and The Activist’.
Also speaking will be James Melia, founder of Blond, who will address the ‘greenwashing’ currently happening in the packaging space and look at how to avoid this on the Beauty & Drinks Innovators Stage.
Also taking place in London, Pentawards will host its first-ever in person Pentawards Festival. This will culminate on 23 September at the Royal Opera House, where this year’s Pentawards competition winners will be announced.
Josh Brooks, marketing and community director for Easyfairs’ Packaging Events, said, “Pentawards is an incredible celebration of global packaging design excellence. With such a key focus on luxury and premium packaging at London Packaging Week, it’s a perfect opportunity to collaborate with Pentawards to inspire our visitors even more.”
