FSC accreditation boosts TCL’s sustainability ethos

TCL Packaging has reaffirmed its commitment to responsible forestry management by achieving Chain of Custody certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for paper packaging films.

The firm explained that the accreditation ‘validates’ each step of its supply chain and confirms that TCL has been ‘monitored closely with independent auditing’. The certification allows the business to provide customers with full traceability of certified paper materials from forest through to final distribution.

Lynne Somerville, TCL Packaging’s sales and marketing director said, “We are delighted to have achieved the FSC accreditation which confirms TCL as a responsible user of forest resources. To secure a future for our planet, TCL knows how critical it is to preserve our world’s forests. Our partnerships with Forest Stewardship Council ensures that the tree fibres used in our certified paper products, come from responsibly managed forests while still delivering the superior quality our customers expect. For our customers to be able to include the FSC logos or make any reference to FSC on their packs it is essential for us to have the relevant Chain of Custody certification.”
