Frugal Cup manufacturer appoints new sales and marketing chief

Rebecca Turner

REBECCA Turner has been appointed head of sales and marketing at Frugalpac, manufacturer of a recyclable coffee cup made from recycled paper.

She was previously European marketing manager at Graphic Packaging International. Following the opening of Frugalpac’s new 18,000 square foot manufacturing site in Wrexham, Rebecca has been tasked with supporting the company’s expansion plans and helping to drive sales of the Frugal Cup to coffee shops.

She said, “After many years of working in the disposable cup industry, I am delighted to start working with Frugalpac, a company with principles and integrity. I’m excited to start marketing the Frugal Cup as a truly sustainable alternative to disposable cups; there are a lot of manufacturers out there greenwashing and making unsubstantiated claims about their products, so it is refreshing to find a company whose manufacturing process is based in the UK, and whose ethos is entirely focused on using recycled paper and easy recycling of their products.”

Malcolm Waugh, CEO of Frugalpac added, “We’re proud of our unique vision as a company, and it’s great to attract someone of Rebecca’s calibre to join us for what truly is the beginning of the recycled coffee cup revolution. We remain committed to developing products which allow us tap into the growth in demand for outlets to do more to support an environmentally-sustainable economy and creating new, innovative and recyclable packaging like the Frugal Cup.”
