1987 was the year Margaret Thatcher secured a third term in office, Three Men and a Baby topped the box office and stock markets around the world crashed in an episode which became known as Black Monday. It was also the year the first issue of Packaging Scotland was published.
To mark the occasion, the July-September edition will feature a comprehensive look back at three decades of the only packaging magazine published in Scotland.
We’ll examine how the sector has changed over the past 30 years, take a nostalgic trip down memory lane by showcasing some of the most iconic packaging designs during that period and feature interviews with some of the individuals who have made the Scottish packaging sector such a vibrant sector to work in.
