A record number of entries have been received for the PPMA Group Industry Awards 2016.
The awards ceremony will be held at Birmingham’s National Motorcycle Museum on September 27 on the first night of the PPMA Total Show 2016.
Organisers said the awards bring together influential leaders from across the packaging, processing and machinery industries. Over 400 guests are expected to attend the gala dinner hosted by comedian Andy Parsons and Sky Sports presenter, Hayley McQueen.
Hundreds of businesses entered 13 separate categories, with finalists now set to compete for prizes including Most Innovative Processing or Packaging Machine, Exporter of the Year and Partnership of the Year.
Grant Jamieson, chairman of PPMA Group of Associations said, “The sheer volume of entries we’ve received this year only goes to highlight the strength of the British processing, packaging and manufacturing industries. It is clear to see the judging panel will have a tough task of identifying 2016’s winners and we wish all of the finalists the best of luck on the night.”
