WEIGHING and packaging equipment specialist Ishida Europe has attained preferred supplier status with international food company The Danish Crown Group, which includes market-leading businesses Tulip, Plumrose and Sokolow.
Danish Crown is one of the world’s biggest pork and beef producers and processors as well a leading meat exporter. Ishida becomes an A Class supplier to the company following a series of installations spanning a number of years.
The supplier agreement means that Ishida will have the opportunity to bid for all relevant projects at Danish Crown’s plants around the world. Ishida will also continue to offer the highest levels of technical expertise and service support for all installations.
In addition, the agreement provides a regularly twice-yearly forum where Ishida will be able to update Danish Crown on its latest equipment innovations and technical developments to help meet changing industry requirements.
Ishida Europe’s director of business solutions Ulrich Nielsen said that the company was delighted to be awarded preferred status, which confirms its hard work and commitment to provide technologically-advanced packing lines backed up by comprehensive installation and service support.
“We have for many years had a strong relationship with Tulip and have remained focused on devising appropriate solutions that meet the company’s requirements,” he said. “The preferred supplier agreement fully supports our long-term commitment.”
Ishida has worked closely with Tulip and Danish Crown in the development of packing lines that meet all the challenges of delivering fast throughput and quality products while complying with strict hygiene standards.
