PARANOVA Print and Packaging has collaborated with The Fruit Pig Company to deliver a new labelling solution for its premium black pudding range.
The project involved a move away from a traditional twin-label format to a single, signature design.
The new self-adhesive labels combine several specialist finishing techniques, including foiling, varnishing and tactile detailing, in a bid to elevate visual appeal. The result is described as a ‘more cohesive and recognisable pack’.
The project also drew on Paranova’s wider network of specialist centres. The Pack Positive Centre supported the creative initiative by producing prototypes to help refine the final direction, while Rivendell provided artwork management and pre-press capability.
Following a recent appearance on James Martin’s Saturday Morning, The Fruit Pig Company has seen an uplift in sales and customer ratings, with the updated packaging helping to reinforce brand perception and visibility at a moment of increased demand. The refreshed packs are now stocked in over 300 outlets, including Fortnum and Mason and Gloucester Services.
Tom Long, head of linerless sales at Paranova Print and Packaging, said, “This project is a great example of how design detail and operational efficiency can go together. By simplifying the format and introducing considered finishing, we’ve created a label that not only stands out on shelf while still running effectively in production.
“We’re proud to have partnered with The Fruit Pig Company to help drive brand impact, sales and customer satisfaction, and to bring a truly premium product to life.”
