YPS recognised for customer service

This year’s PPMA Group Industry Awards were held on Tuesday 30 September at the National Motorbike Museum in Birmingham during the PPMA Show. Yorkshire Packaging Systems had been shortlisted for the Customer Service award for 2014 and after fighting off strong competition they were the winners on the night!

Winning this prestigious award marks a significant landmark for this Yorkshire based, family run, company who pride themselves on delivering best in class customer service. The company’s motto is: “If we don’t look after the customer then someone else will”.

Traditionally many companies supplying capital equipment focus on the product and the end sale while neglecting the importance of investing in ongoing back-up and support from a customer service angle, due to the investment it requires.

That not the case with Yorkshire Packaging Systems:

• First of all, we protect our reputation and pride as a family business as every piece of equipment has our name on it;
• Secondly we are aware that shrink wrapping machine down time costs money, whether due to a spare part or a service engineer;
• Finally it makes good business sense as not investing in supporting the machinery supplied is a false economy as more business would be lost from potential repeat orders if we did not do this.

YPS have been in business for almost 40 years and have a dedicated team of service engineers, office staff and sales people all dedicated to ensuring that their customers receive high quality shrink wrapping solutions but also that the customer service and after sales back up and support is second to none.
