The order was part of a £1.5m project to supply a number of complete filling lines to a major paint manufacturer in Norway. Each line supplied was specific to each filling line. Specialist turners were fitted to ensure the orientation of each tin was consistent and pneumatic safety motors were fitted as standard across all five lines to ensure the shrink tunnel was always evacuated in the event of a power cut. Centrally mounted pushers cope with the heavy weight of some of the tins and the infeed belts upgraded to a heavy-duty design. Managing director Glyn Johnson said: “It was a demanding application in terms of getting the correct specifications but attention to detail was critical and so I am glad all five lines are in and up and running.”
