Endoline re-engineers random case sealer to suit modern production environments

Endoline 7048 fully automatic random case sealer

ENDOLINE Automation has announced a major redesign of its 7048 fully automatic random case sealer, which is said to have enhanced energy efficiency, reduced its footprint, and simplified operation and maintenance for increasingly automated production environments.

Cable requirements within the product have been significantly reduced, while new sliding access doors have enabled Endoline to reduce the machine’s overall footprint to less than one metre wide. An intuitive HMI interface, meanwhile, has been developed to make the system easier to operate and service.

Designed for environments requiring flexibility across multiple case formats, the 7048 automatically seals cases arriving in random sequence without the need for manual adjustment. The system detects the height and width of each incoming case and adjusts automatically to accommodate different sizes.

A four-column construction is designed to provide stability during rapid height adjustments and enables the machine to consistently seal cases at speeds of up to 14 cases per minute, while the chassis is engineered for continuous production environments.

Andrew Yates, MD of Endoline Automation, said, “The 7048 has been part of our portfolio for many years, but manufacturing environments have changed considerably during that time. Automation has increased, factory space is under greater pressure and manufacturers quite rightly expect equipment to be easier to operate, maintain and integrate.

“Rather than changing the fundamental principles of a system that has proved itself over many years, we have looked closely at how we could evolve the design around those changing requirements. Reducing the footprint, simplifying the machine and improving access all contribute to making the latest 7048 better suited to the production environments our customers are operating today.”
