TNT Group has developed a recycled zamak collar for the 10 refillable bottles in Bottega Veneta’s new Alta collection.
Made from 75%-recycled zamak with a PP insert, the collar was developed to meet the project’s aesthetic and technical requirements. The teams developed a gold-tone metallic finish combined with a lacquer to achieve the shade specified by the brand.
TNT Group explained that the main challenge was to ensure the collar’s long-term mechanical stability on this refillable bottle, beyond the usual fragrance-resistance requirements – while also allowing it to be removed at end of use to facilitate material separation for recycling. TNT GROUP also ensured the precise integration of the collar with the shoulders of the glass bottle.
