BRAZIL will host an edition of the Plastics Recycling Show (PRS) for the first time in 2027.
The international event dedicated to plastics recycling will take place from May 17-18 at the Renaissance São Paulo Hotel, bringing together representatives from across the value chain to discuss the challenges, opportunities and pathways for the development of plastics recycling and the circular economy in Brazil and Latin America.
The initiative is a partnership between Crain Communications and ABIPLAST (Brazilian Plastics Industry Association). The arrival of PRS in Brazil expands the international presence of the PRS brand, which also holds events in Amsterdam, Mumbai, Shanghai and Dubai.
The launch comes at an important time, as companies respond to Decree No. 12,688/2025, which regulates reverse logistics and the use of recycled content in plastic packaging in Brazil.
