RETAILER The Works has unveiled its redesigned and more sustainable packaging for its Make & Create for Kids range across its stores.
The launch has been described as marking a milestone for the firm’s refreshed approach to creative play. The new packaging contains 93% less plastic than before – a move tipped to help save approximately 12.8 tonnes annually.
Gabrielle Jarman, head of buying for The Works, said, “This relaunch is more than just a refresh; it’s a bold step forward in how we inspire creativity across screen-free activities for families. Creative play has always been at the heart of what we do, helping children build imagination, confidence and dexterity through crafting fun.”
The initial response from customers has been described as ‘positive’, with the top three best-selling products in the category all featuring the new packaging following front-of-store launch.
The new packs were also developed with input from the children of The Works’ team. Their feedback helped shape designs that reflect how children want to play, make, and explore.
