FILLING and packaging equipment manufacturer KHS Group has achieved the highest EcoVadis award of platinum for the second year in a row.

The rating recognises the sustainability progress and achievements of the business. Scoring 89 out of 100 points, KHS has improved its score over the previous year and cemented its position among the world’s top rated companies vetted annually.

“Winning our second platinum award is a great success for us all here at KHS,” said Nicole Pohl, senior ESG manager. “In a rating system that’s undergoing a dynamic further development and imposing increasingly stringent requirements, we’ve achieved an excellent result.”

EcoVadis gave KHS’ commitment to sustainable development and responsible corporate governance an ‘exceptionally positive’ evaluation. This is demonstrated in the Endorsements category, which evaluates a company’s formal recognition and promotion of external sustainability initiatives and principles.

“We see EcoVadis as a yardstick measuring our own sustainability achievements in the direct context of the market and competition,” added Pohl. “With it, we’re enabling our stakeholders to make a reliable – and measurable – comparison of our progress throughout the entire value chain.”
