HINOJOSA Packaging Group has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, which reveals the firm has reached 64% renewable energy use.
With a network of 24 plants in Spain, France, Portugal and Italy, last year the group completed the integration of ASV Packaging, now Hinojosa Folding Packaging France.
The 2025 financial year confirmed the company’s progress in the transition towards a low-carbon model validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). As well as a 64% share of energy consumption from renewable sources, Hinojosa revealed it reduced energy intensity by 12% through improved energy efficiency at several production plants.
Thanks to projects under the Circular Economy PERTE, Hinojosa Paper’s Spanish division has reduced waste generation by 25% at plants in L’Alqueria d’Asnar and Sarrià de Ter. In addition, 92.65% of the waste generated by the company is now sent for recovery. In terms of water management, Hinojosa received a B- rating in its first CDP Water report, reflecting progress.
The company has worked to integrate artificial intelligence into its operations to optimise processes and create value for customers through the launch of IA Lab. Hinojosa has also developed a Product Carbon Footprint Calculator, which enables the company to quantify, compare and communicate the environmental impact of its packaging solutions.
Hinojosa ended the year with a workforce of more than 3,000 professionals and over €1.2 million invested in training.
