
SAINSBURY’S is to launch new fibre labelling across more than 500 products in a bid to up peoples intake of the essential nutrient.
The move comes after findings revealed only 4% of those in the UK get enough fibre and only half (52%) of people recognise fruit as a source of it.
Sainsbury’s explained that the national conversation about healthy eating ‘risks becoming tangled in trends and jargon’ – adding that healthy eating has become confusing, when it should be clear, accessible, and part of everyday life.
The new Full on Fibre labelling will aim to help customers boost their fibre intake without confusion.
