BEDFORDSHIRE-based specialist packaging producer, Polyformes, has become the first business in the UK to be appointed as an approved fabricator by Zotefoams.

The appointment, as part of Zotefoams’ Global Approved Partner programme, formalises the long-standing relationship between the two businesses and connects customers requiring sector-specific expertise and global markets knowledge with Polyformes’ manufacturing capability.

The recently launched Global Partner Programme provides a structured framework for working with select fabricators, distributors, and specialist partners across Europe, North America, and Asia. It is designed to strengthen service delivery across markets and applications, giving customers a clear and reliable route to partners that meet Zotefoams’ stringent technical and commercial standards.

Polyformes, part of Macfarlane Packaging since 2024, is one of Europe’s largest polyethylene (PE) foam converters and a specialist manufacturer, supplier and converter of high-performance foam packaging products. The firm designs and manufactures a range of bespoke foam packaging, inserts, engineered parts, and protective cases for customers across industrial and technical markets from its production site in Leighton Buzzard.

Emma Atterbury, general manager at Polyformes, commented, “Joining Zotefoams Global Approved Partner Programme is an important milestone for Polyformes and reflects the strength of the relationship we have built with Zotefoams to date. Our business focuses on converting foam materials into practical, engineered solutions that protect valuable equipment and make handling, storage and transport more reliable.

“This appointment gives us a strong platform to support customers across industrial packaging and defence-related markets, backed by Zotefoams technical knowledge and materials portfolio.”

Zotefoams is a global foam manufacturer. Its materials enable lightweight, high-performance applications for globally-recognised brands such as Boeing, Airbus, and Nike.

Fabrice Lacroix, sales director EMEA at Zotefoams, added, “Industrial packaging is a highly technical application, particularly where customers are moving, storing or handling high-value equipment, tools or precision components. Polyformes brings deep expertise in precision-engineered foam packaging and a strong understanding of how materials need to perform once they are converted into inserts, trays, cases and protective assemblies. This relationship strengthens our ability to support customers across EMEA with approved fabrication expertise, dependable service and a clear route to specialist packaging support.”

Polyformes currently employs around 60 people across three shifts at its Leighton Buzzard production site. The wider Macfarlane Group comprises more than 1,000 employees and recorded sales of more than £300 million in 2025 across the UK and Europe.
