ISHIDA Europe has appointed Takayo Motegi as its new MD, succeeding Dave Tiso who has led the business since 2015.
Takayo Motegi brings over 30 years of sales experience within the Ishida Group to the role. He is described as having a ‘deep understanding’ of the food industry and Ishida’s global operations, culture, and strategic vision.
The appointment sees Dave Tiso take the role of chairman where Ishida said he will continue to provide the same calibre of strategic guidance to the business that saw him oversee successive record years of performance during his 11-year tenure as MD.
Takayo Motegi has held a number of senior leadership positions within the business, including six years as MD of Ishida Thailand. In his new role, he will be responsible for implementing the business’s global strategy across EMEA, while further enhancing its ability to respond to evolving requirements for automated weighing, packing and quality control solutions.
