Distinctive cap developed for new Jean Gaultier collection

TNT Group has developed a distinctive cap for Jean Paul Gaultier’s Les Ateliers Gaultier fragrance collection.

The cap features a decorative perfume atomiser bulb, combined with a gold-finished aluminium collar and matching plate – along with an ornamental gold brooch.

The decorative bulb – framed in metal and dressed with six different materials depending on each fragrance variation (PU, velvet, and other textiles) – is designed to echo the richness of the House of Gaultier’s couture universe, TNT explained.

A POK insert ensures a ‘precise and secure’ fit while allowing ‘smooth, intuitive’ rotation for cap removal. The zamak brooch pays tribute to the craftsmanship of the ateliers.

The project results from a multi-layered collaboration. Close creative dialogue between TNT Group and Jean Paul Gaultier teams was combined with ‘strong internal synergies’ across TNT’s primary and secondary packaging divisions. Under TNT’s coordination, industrial partners worked to integrate diverse materials, particularly textiles within a zamak structure.

TNT Group said, “Jean Paul creates his fragrances the way he designs his couture pieces: with passion, provocation, and playfulness. Here, conventions are cut away with mischievous delight. Because at Gaultier, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary is second nature…”
