LUXURY packaging business Pusterla 1880 UK has announced it has retained its EcoVadis Platinum rating, consolidating the company’s position in the top 1% of businesses globally assessed by EcoVadis for sustainability performance.
EcoVadis rates a business’s sustainability performance based on four key criteria: environment, labour & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Pusterla’s latest accreditation saw the company increase its overall score to 88% with particularly strong showings for environment and labour & human rights.
“We are delighted not only to have retained our Platinum status but also to have demonstrated further improvements throughout our operations,” said Samantha Rice, group HR director & UK country manager, Pusterla 1880. “From climate action and responsible sourcing to employee wellbeing and ethical governance, sustainability and good practice remain embedded in everything we do. That’s why Platinum is a must-have for our business. Thank you to everyone across Pusterla who makes this possible.”
Highlights of Pusterla’s sustainability initiatives over the past 12 months include the introduction of a sustainable procurement programme, the launch of a new carbon tool to assess the impact of its manufacturing and identify ways to reduce emissions, and further development of its contract packing operation to provide a one-stop service that helps to minimise delivery miles.
