PITREAVIE Packaging has announced a significant upgrade to its commercial transport fleet in a bid to enhance customer service and strengthen delivery capacity across Scotland.
The firm is introducing nine new trailers and three Euro 6-compliant commercial vehicles alongside new fleet technology.
The new Euro 6-compliant fleet is also tipped to bring environmental benefits, burning less fuel per mile.
Upgraded features include advanced load securing and brake monitoring systems, vehicle camera monitoring and integrated driver telematics, and MICHELIN Connected Fleet technology.
A further three vehicles are scheduled for replacement later in the year.
“This is about future-proofing our delivery proposition,” said Nigel Smith, supply chain director at Pitreavie. “As customer demand grows, it’s essential that our logistics capability grows with it.
“With these modern, technology-enabled vehicles and trailers, we’re reinforcing the reliability, safety and responsiveness that our customers depend on every day. It also ensures we are supporting our drivers with the very best equipment and systems available.”
