AMCOR has revealed it is providing a one-stop solution of bottles and flexible tubes to Fragrances of Ireland to support the extension of the company’s signature collection, Inis the Energy of the Sea, into hair care.
For the packaging for these new items – a shampoo, conditioner and spray – the company commissioned Crilly & Wardell Design Consultants to develop a distinctive look while complementing the Inis brand identity. Amcor was tasked with transforming the bespoke concepts into reality.
The range comprises a 150ml bottle and pump, 300ml bottle, and 250ml flexible tube. Amcor explained how its technical skills were ‘critical’ in the selection of the masterbatch that matched the distinctive blue of all the Fragrances of Ireland products but also delivered colour consistency across the different materials used to manufacture the packs – HDPE for the bottle and spray, HDPE/LLDPE mix for the flexible tube, and PP for the closures. Silver foil decoration is used for the Inis logo to enhance on-shelf impact.
“Amcor has been the perfect partner for this important project,” said Raquel Gil, new product development & marketing coordinator at Fragrances of Ireland. “Their manufacturing and decoration expertise, together with the ability to manage the production of all three packs, mean we have the same high quality of construction across the range while ensuring that all our launch deadlines were met.”
Amcor added that both the bottles are lightweight and durable.
“This project ideally demonstrates our versatility, with the knowledge and ability to handle different materials to achieve a distinctive and consistent family range of packaging,” said Joe Horton, regional sales director, Amcor Rigid Packaging Solutions International.
