THE Foodservice Packaging Association (FPA) has announced the shortlist for its inaugural Apprentice of the Year Award, sponsored by Cofresco.
Timed to coincide with National Apprenticeship Week 2026, the FPA said the new award celebrates exceptional apprentices working within the foodservice packaging sector – recognising individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to learning and professional growth, and who are already making a tangible impact within their organisations.
The FPA 2026 Apprentice of the Year finalists are:
- Adrian Teaca, Bidfood
- Ria Merchant, Bidfood
- Ruby Rimner, Coveris
- Sam Morgan, Colpac
- Scott Harrill, Planglow
- Valeria Potsinok, Bidfood
“National Apprenticeship Week is a fantastic opportunity to recognise the dedication and talent of apprentices who are building strong careers and already contributing so much to their organisations and our industry,” said Mike Revell, executive chair of the Foodservice Packaging Association. “The standard of entries for our first Apprentice of the Year Award has been incredibly high, and all the finalists should be hugely proud of their achievements.”
The winner will be revealed during the FPA Awards evening, hosted by Matt Lucas, which takes place on Thursday 5 March at The Grand Hotel, Brighton.
