RE:Water has announced a £2 million investment in a larger production site in Hereford.
The move comes as the sustainable aluminium bottled water brand looks to unlock its next phase of growth and support major grocery, retail, and hospitality contracts.
The new site, located just a few miles from Re:Water’s existing base, is five times the size of the current facility and will be operational from February. It will allow the business to add extra production lines, hold more stock on site, and bring the operation further in-house.
Re:Water is made from 100% recycled and endlessly recyclable aluminium, including the cap, and is designed to be refilled, reused, and recycled. The brand sources its spring water locally in Herefordshire and revealed that it made a deliberate decision to remain in the area to protect water quality, retain its workforce, and minimise disruption.
Benjamin Rendell, director at Berrington Pure Spring Water, said, “We’re growing at pace and were forecast to reach capacity at our existing site. This investment is about staying ahead of that growth. The new site gives us the space to scale properly — adding production lines, increasing stock holding and making sure everything remains in-house and under our control.”
The expansion follows several years of high double-digit growth for Re:Water, with the brand recording 60% year-on-year growth in December alone – a like-for-like month that highlights sustained consumer demand rather than weather-driven sales.
Re:Water’s spring and sparkling water is now stocked in more than 5,000 locations across the UK, with customers including Marks & Spencer, Pret A Manger, Itsu, the National Trust, London Zoo, and major visitor attractions. Recent wins include Transport for Wales, which now stocks Re:Water exclusively, and the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour on the brand’s custom-print side of the business.
The new facility also gives Re:Water room to grow its range with a new 750ml bottle launching in 2026, following the brand’s new 330ml ‘mini bottle’. The investment also supports future export growth following the Re:Water’s King’s Award for Innovation, which has increased global visibility.
Rhodri Lewis, director at Berrington Pure Spring Water, added, “Consumers are moving away from single-use plastic, but they still want convenience and resealable formats they recognise and trust – and the numbers show it’s working. The new site allows us to meet that demand responsibly, while also reducing our own carbon footprint through increased on-site warehousing and fewer transport movements.”
