OMRON has added to its industrial vision systems portfolio with the launch of the FHV7-AI Detection Camera.
The model combines AI-driven inspection capabilities with a step-by-step user interface and a compact design.
The FHV7-AI Detection Camera can automatically select and learn from just a few sample images, eliminating the need for lengthy manual configuration. Setup time is said to be reduced to just minutes, while the system continuously adapts to product variations.
The technology is described as ‘ideal’ for common inspection tasks such as checking for missing components, verifying correct product types, identifying scratches or dents, and ensuring date codes are present and legible.
A new interface provides on-screen instructions that guide operators through the setup process.
Engineered for harsh industrial conditions, the FHV7-AI features an IP67-rated housing with integrated white LED lighting and five autofocus lens options. The autofocus function covers a wide focal range of 59mm to 2,000mm, automatically adapting when switching between different product sizes.
OMRON said the FHV7-AI is particularly well suited for industries such as food and beverage, packaging, automotive, and consumer goods.
