GLASS packaging supplier Croxsons has announced it has received B Corporation certification in recognition of its social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
Certified by B Lab, a non-profit organisation behind the B Corp movement, Croxsons said the achievement proves the firm has legally embedded its commitment to purpose beyond profit into its operations.
B Corp certification evaluates a business across five key areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. The process took around a year to complete.
Tim Croxson, CEO of Croxsons, said, “We have a long history of wanting to make a difference, to our customers, our team and our local and global communities. B Corp gives us the accountability and transparency to demonstrate that we don’t just talk the talk, but we walk it too. It also provides a framework for how we can be even better. As a business, we can’t do everything, but we must do something.”
The the company’s charitable foundation – The Milk & Honey Trust – plays a vital role in its ethos. This dedication to social impact was a prominent aspect of the assessment and is said to reflect the company’s belief in supporting both people and the environment.
Tim Croxson added, “Achieving B Corp status felt like a validation of who we are. It wasn’t about redesigning our business, but recognising the way we already work and the values we’ve always held. For us, this is not a moment in time, but an ongoing journey to improve; to be a better employer, a better partner and a positive influence within our industry.”
