THE Foodservice Packaging Association (FPA) has appointed three new board members and launched a new website, incorporating an enhanced FPA member hub.
The moves are said to be in line with pledges made by Mike Revell, the organisation’s recently elected executive chair, to deliver ‘greater transparency, stronger engagement and continuous improvement’.
The three new board appointees include Paul Synnott, MD of Seda UK, a supplier to the foodservice industry. With over 30 years of experience in the packaging sector, he has held key roles across manufacturing and sales and also serves as co-chair of the Alliance for Fibre-Based Packaging.
Also joining the FPA board is i2r’s Dave Lucas, an active member of the FPA and current head of the FPA marketing committee. Dave’s career spans both distribution and manufacturing. Beginning at Central Catering Supplies, he went on to work for Bunzl, Coveris, Faerch, and is now MD at i2r.

The third new board member is David Oates, director at Celebration Packaging. A trained chartered accountant with experience working with SMEs, David has been focusing on the packaging industry for the past 11 years.

FPA executive chair Mike Revell said, “When I was elected I promised members change, improvement and transparency. The appointment of new board colleagues, alongside today’s launch of our new website and enhanced member benefits, demonstrates that we are delivering on that commitment.
“These steps are part of an ongoing journey to make the association more open, more effective, and more valuable to the members we serve. I’m excited to work with the FPA Board, our members and our stakeholders to keep building on this momentum.”
The new website is designed to deliver a more accessible and informative hub, offering members and stakeholders a clear view of the association’s work. The secure members’ area provides an expanded suite of exclusive benefits, including:
- A fully searchable member directory showcasing member companies’ products and services to buyers and peers
- Networking and collaboration opportunities with fellow member companies
- Exclusive content, including policy guides, legislation updates, and compliance tools
- A curated calendar of UK and international events with early booking and member rates on FPA events
- Access to FPA webinar recordings and presentations
- Early sight of the FPA’s renowned Friday Digest, plus archive access, and the ability to add colleagues to the distribution list
- A repository of useful links, logos, membership certificates, event photos, and member communications
- Editorial and advertising opportunities within the association’s quarterly Connect magazine
