THE shortlisted finalists have been announced for the 2025 Plastics Industry Awards.
Winners of the awards, which celebrate achievements in polymer innovation, sustainability, and manufacturing excellence, will be revealed at a ceremony hosted by comedian and actor Ellie Taylor on Friday 21 November at the InterContinental London Park Lane.
Organisers said recycling and sustainability remain central themes for 2025, with strong competition across the Recycler of the Year, Sustainable Product Design, and the new Sustainable Extrusion Technology categories. A new category for 2025 – the Polyurethane Innovation Award – reflects the growing importance of innovation within this specialist material sector.
The awards also celebrate individual achievements, recognising rising talent through the Apprentice or Trainee of the Year Award, as well as contributions with the Unsung Hero Award and the Ambassador Award. The Apprentice or Trainee Award carries a prize of £500 donated by the Polymer Machinery Manufacturers and Distributors Association (PMMDA).
Supplier partnerships will be separated in three separate awards for Injection Moulding, Auxiliary and Toolmaker.
“We are delighted to reveal such a strong field of finalists for 2025 including many new names,” said Matt Barber, director of global trade shows at Crain Communications. “The entries demonstrate the breadth of innovation and commitment across the plastics industry, and we look forward to celebrating their achievements at our gala in November.”
