Ball secures award recognition for variable printing solution

Innovation award trophy

BALL Corporation is celebrating after being honoured in the Best Packaging/Labelling Innovation category at the World Beverage Innovation Awards 2025, announced at drinktec in Munich.

The firm was recognised for its Dynamark Advanced Pro variable printing solution, which transforms aluminium cans into ‘agile storytelling canvases’.

In a single run, brands can produce up to 12 unique designs per pallet, enabling tailored campaigns by region, event, or promotion.

“This award recognition reinforces our commitment to our customers and supporting their goals for innovation and sustainability,” said Carey Causey, chief growth officer, Ball Corporation. “We’re proud to collaborate with our customers to tackle consumer challenges, and will continue to focus on delivering consistent, measurable progress and impact for their products.”

Visitors to drinktec have been invited to explore, test, and challenge the technologies and ideas that are powering brand growth today. A Digital Experience Zone with 360° VR Can Lifecycle Tour takes visitors straight to Ball UK’s Kettering plant and Real-World Challenge Simulator, where nine of the biggest brand pain points are paired with the firm’s packaging solutions.

The ‘Moments’ Aisle is a gallery of limited-edition packs and special effects, from Halloween cans to festival launches, brought to life through video. Colour-shifting inks, glow finishes, and varnishes show how brands can stand out without compromising line efficiency.

Retail Environment Zone is a real-world supermarket shelf reimagined. Visitors see what each format can unlock in terms of trial, sales, and brand love, across Ball’s full portfolio including aluminium bottles and promotional ends.
