PITREAVIE Packaging has confirmed it has invested over £1 million at its Cumbernauld production site in response to growing customer demand.
The corrugated packaging manufacturer revealed the spend includes the creation of new skilled operator roles, the installation of advanced equipment, and an expansion of storage capacity.
A new high-speed multi-point gluer will be operational from September. The company is also developing a new storage facility adjacent to the existing plant, designed to support increased volumes of raw materials and improve operational efficiency.
“This investment marks an exciting new chapter for both the Pitreavie team and our customers,” commented MD Stephen Heslop. “We’re growing in every sense – creating new jobs and investing further in our infrastructure, to increase capacity.
“What’s most important is that this allows us to keep delivering the fast, flexible service our customers rely on and that will only improve with these investments. It’s a positive story not just for us, but for our customers and the local community we support.”
The announcement follows a string of milestones for the business, including achieving FSC certification and retaining BRCGS AA grade.
Recruitment for the new skilled roles is underway, with vacancies now live on the Pitreavie website. The firm added that as the business continues to grow, further investment is planned to support innovation, sustainability, and service excellence across all operations.
