SAPPI Europe has announced plans to showcase its full portfolio of label papers and packaging solutions at two upcoming industry events.
Visitors to Drinktec in Munich (15-19 September) and Labelexpo Europe in Barcelona (16-19 September) will have the opportunity to learn more about the firm’s innovations, from self-adhesive face stock papers and release liners to wet glue label solutions.
As the primary connection between both exhibitions, Sappi said its wet glue label portfolio showcases ‘proven solutions for demanding applications’. The Parade Label WS range offers double-coated, high-wet-strength and alkali-resistant properties with a functional coating on the reverse side, engineered for returnable bottles used in beer, mineral water, and soft drinks applications.
The range includes Parade Label WS Linen, featuring linen embossing designed to enhance both look and feel whilst optimising functionality through improved label separability and reduced static adhesion.
Labelexpo Europe’s focus on self-adhesive labelling provides a platform for Sappi’s range of face stock papers and release liners. The Parade Face portfolio is said to offer ‘exceptional’ print surfaces from high-gloss to semi-gloss to matt.
Complementing the face stock range, Sappi’s portfolio of CCK and glassine paper-based release liners continues to evolve, with sustainability now established as an equally important element alongside functionality, quality, cost, and availability in customer decision-making.
Beyond wet glue labels, Drinktec will also feature Sappi’s packaging solutions, including containerboard and paperboard offerings. The firm said Fusion Topliner, a virgin fibre liner, delivers ‘exceptional brightness, impressive whiteness, and an elegant silky surface for high-quality corrugated board applications’, whilst the Algro Design and Algro Volume premium paperboards provide ‘creative freedom’ in packaging design with ‘brilliant colour reproduction and excellent converting properties’.
Drinktec in Munich marks Sappi’s debut in this exhibition, whilst Labelexpo Europe in Barcelona, held biennially, continues as a cornerstone event for the company’s labelling business.
“Participating in both Drinktec and Labelexpo Europe allow us to showcase the complete scope of our label portfolio, from wet glue solutions that perform reliably in demanding applications to self-adhesive technologies that meet evolving market needs,” said Jan Hasselblatt, head of sales self-adhesives at Sappi.
Jörg Waldorf, head of sales wet glue labels, added, “Our comprehensive range demonstrates how we serve diverse labelling requirements whilst maintaining our commitment to sustainable, high-performance solutions.”
